I left college with a BTEC National Diploma in Early Childhood studies knowing that I wanted to work with babies and small children and I was a private nanny for 10 years working for 5 lovely families. In 2008, I achieved ASA level 1 in teaching aquatics, I originally hoped to work with one of the franchised swim schools but soon decided that I felt so passionate about the way that I wanted to teach and had so many of my own ideas. After studying further, in 2009 I became a fully qualified Baby and Pre-school instructor.

I started running 4 classes a week and since then my company has grown and gone from strength to strength, my ethos is simple, make the water fun and safe for babies and their adults, follow their lead, never force anything and enjoy every challenge.

I write and run my own syllabus which has changed considerably over the years, designed to teach babies and parents all aspects of baby swimming from water confidence and safety to submersions and eventual independence. We have regular assessments to check development and adapt teaching methods.

I run termly photo sessions using my own underwater camera which give us some fabulous results that simply aren’t possible in a public swim setting. It’s lovely to see the little ones enjoying the toys and some unstructured time.

Swimming with your baby has so many physiological benefits for everyone involved in the classes and what better way to spend one to one time with your little one with no distractions. We teach a wide skill set using games and songs to make it fun and memorable for all involved.

I had my little boy (not so little now) in 2011 and have loved watching his swim journey developing over the years, he still loves it and now goes to our local pool every week to swim for fitness and fun……mission accomplished!!
